Liberalism: Believers Need Not Apply

Liberalism is a political philosophy based on the writing of John Locke, promoting a sense of tolerance and freedom for the individual.

Since Herbert Marcuse’s work on Repressive Tolerance, however, the New Left has advanced a view that this sort of tolerance assumes too much common ground, the very ground that it has razed through identity politics.

And we are seeing signs everywhere that there is no room for believers in the progressive camp as a result.  Not even the inner world of conscience is safe.
