What is a great benefit of killing net neutrality?
Free online porn has just been ended
As mentioned in a recent article, “the advent of so-called tube sites allowed users to watch clips for free, like people watch videos on YouTube. Adam Grayson, the chief financial officer of the adult company Evil Angel, calls (it) “the great mushroom-cloud porn explosion of 2008.”
Pornhub is part of a vast porn empire called MindGeek, which quietly controls almost all of the free tube sites and an increasing number of production companies. Tibbals believes Pornhub releases these numbers—and engages in promotional activities like a recent offer of free snow removal in Boston—as an attempt to normalize itself and to shift the focus away from rampant piracy issues and accusations of promoting sexual violence against women.”
Given the power of this porn empire, there is little wonder that there was such a strong attempt to support the existent policy created under President Obama of so-called net neutrality, with vague but dire warnings.
Those who are alarmed at the terrible rise in sexual abuse and the pornification of our culture may want to celebrate one of the more significant achievements of President Trump’s Presidency. As it notes in this Yahoo article:
“Thursday’s FCC vote to end net neutrality will kill many of the things you enjoy most about the internet in its current form, but chief among them is your ability to access copious amounts of free adult entertainment.”
