Meet the new ‘human rights’ — where you are forced by law to use ‘reasonable’ pronouns like ‘ze’ and ‘zer’

The notion of human rights was born of the atrocities of the Second World War.  Based on the idea of the fundamental integrity of the individual human person, they were intended to liberate people from oppressive state regimes that denied them their personhood upon to a variety of identity group criteria.

The more recent versions of human rights, on the other hand, like ‘gender identity’ and ‘gender expression’ are based on identity group criteria, and rather than liberate people from state regimes, they identify who is at the bottom of a hierarchy they establish, and then use the apparatus of the state to ‘protect them’.  Accordingly, as the article points out, it conceives human rights “as a zero sum game.  Giving rights to some means taking them from others.”

In this respect, modern “human rights” advocates are ironically just like the totalitarian regimes against which the original human rights were established.
