In the nonbinary world of Canada’s postnationalist Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, there are a lot of grey answers to black and white issues, and shadiness where the public was promised transparency and open government.

The way in which the Liberal Party and the Prime Minister have chosen to handle the Omar Khadr file is one that will cause serious damage to the government, precisely because it is so very shady.

The optics are so bad that the government might have to compensate itself for the victimization.
