Top British transgender advocate is silenced when investigating the effect of trans therapy

Psychotherapist James Caspian is one of Britain’s foremost transgender experts.  Since 2001, he has been a trustee of the transgender charity, The Beaumont Trust.

He’s also a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. Until the beginning of the year, he was a trustee of the official psychotherapy regulator, the UK Council for Psychotherapy.

He held the position for two years, during which time he acted as a consultant to a working group drawing up a ‘Memorandum of Understanding’ on transgender issues.   The group unanimously opposed conversion therapy, but Caspian wanted language recognizing that ‘that some people regret their transition and that there are patients who might have other underlying psychological issues.’

The group would not tolerate that, and neither would Bath Spa University, which refused to allow the findings of his MA research.  The very notion of contrary findings was deemed politically incorrect, and shut down.  The university’s rationale was ‘the posting of unpleasant material on blogs or social media may be detrimental to the reputation of the University’.

So not only is this yet another witness to the culture of fear and intimidation caused by political correctness that is destroying the university, the sort that University of Toronto psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson and others have brought to prominence, it is also a sign that a vocal minority within the transgender advocacy is willing to push its agenda irrespective of the harm it causes.

It is apparent that the sharp rise in demand for reversals will be kept from public view until free speech can be systematically curtailed.  Testimonies like this will not be heard.

On a far more encouraging note, Pure Passion Ministries also violates the rules of political correctness, but they will not be stopped.

They recently released a gripping documentary of fifteen former transgender men and women (including the author above) who, through Christ, abandoned their transgender life. All of them speak candidly of the gut-wrenching events that led to living a transgender life and how God intervened in love to personally redeem and restore them back to living fully in their birth gender. For the fifteen people in the documentary, Jesus opened their eyes to “true reality” and transported each of them into a new life, one where they are free, no longer enslaved.
