Dr Robert P. George: Are Human Embryos Human Beings? Are they Persons?
Dr George argues that human embryos are human beings (scientifically speaking) and human persons (philosophically speaking)
On April 5, 2016, Dr. Robert P. George, McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence at Princeton University, delivered this lecture for the inaugural gathering of the Law Students for Life at Harvard Law School.
The lecture begins at the 5:20 mark.
Dr. George has served as the chairman of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom, the President’s Council on Bioethics, and the United States Commission on Civil Rights.
His 2008 book “Embryo: A Defense of Human Life” (co-authored with Christopher Tollefsen) presents a comprehensive argument for protecting the unborn.
