Why Canadians need to start worrying about China
Even Canada's liberal media is worried about the Liberal policy
At the same time that U.S. President Donald Trump has taken the U.S. out of the Trans Pacific Partnership , calling it a ‘horrible deal’ that comes at the expense of American jobs and national sovereignty, Justin Trudeau and the Canadian Liberals have carried on with their policy of pushing Canada under the influence of Communist China.
Trudeau is on record for admiring China’s ‘basic dictatorship’, which even brought the erstwhile NDP leader Thomas Mulcair to suggest that he was ‘naive’.
Naivete is the favoured adjective of Canada’s progressive-minded press, like the Globe and Mail, who seem to want to ignore the more obvious explanation, that just like his father Pierre Trudeau and brother Sasha, he is endeared to China and its ruling Communist Party. Jonathan Kay’s sharp critique of Sasha has (interestingly) been taken down from the National Post website, but is available here.
Given the Liberal Party’s longstanding admiration of Communist China, it is perhaps interesting that they approved the Trans Mountain pipeline through (strongly green) British Columbia and yet rejected a pipeline to Eastern Canada that had much less opposition.
The difference might well be China.
