Five years later, Colorado sees toll of pot legalization

Five years on, Colorado is an embarrassing cautionary tale. Is Canada's government interested in evidence?

For the progressive elites, Canada is a Brave New World cum laboratory for experiments on humanity.

Whether it is in the form of what its current Prime Minister terms – on the celebration of its 150th national anniversary – its postnational identity; a haven for the entirely novel and now state-enforced reconstruction of humanity based on gender ideology; a home for ISIS terrorists who have gone abroad to commit crimes against humanity; a libertine police-state pushing the arbitrary and harmful notions of Sexual Revolutionaries over the objections of families throughout its schools in its ‘health’ curricula; or whether it is in legalizing a noxious substance such as marijuana, violating international law in the process, it is clear that neither history, tradition, reason, or religion is a barrier to the Leviathan they unleash on its vulnerable citizens.

The folly and fundamental impiety of all such policies ought to be self-evident.  But those committed to methodological naturalism demand empirical evidence.  The state of Colorado, then, ought to be an object lesson on why marijuana ought not to be legalized in Canada:

“Five years of retail pot coincide with five years of a homelessness growth rate that ranks among the highest rates in the country. Directors of homeless shelters, and people who live on the streets, tell us homeless substance abusers migrate here for easy access to pot.

Five years of Big Marijuana ushered in a doubling in the number of drivers involved in fatal crashes who tested positive for marijuana, based on research by the pro-legalization Denver Post.

Five years of commercial pot have been five years of more marijuana in schools than teachers and administrators ever feared.”
