Many College Students are ‘Book Virgins’

If the foreign observer ever had any doubt about why Americans are abandoning the government school system in droves, it is an article like this.

The problem in American public education doesn’t only reside in the documented politicizing of the curricula to fit the narrative of the New Left.  It is in the utter failure of the schools to educate in the most basic fashion.  This failure of public education is there in a less marked fashion worldwide.

It could be argued that this failure to read books isn’t accidental.  Being informed through great cultural texts is a way of slowing social transformation – because it exposes just how radical the Cultural Marxist agenda truly is.
