Canada’s public health policies has long been linked with eugenics.  The government also has a legacy of abuse against native Canadians, and disregard for their families.  While these are presented as facts of history, Canadian governments continue to impose their beliefs on their populace.

The practice of eugenics, it has recently come to light, continues into the present.  It is somewhat surprising given the degree of official contrition about the historic mistreatment of natives.  Yet it is also unsurprising because eugenics is inseparable from a progressivist ideology.

“The science of eugenics, which came into prominence during the late nineteenth century, was concerned with improving the human race. Eugenicists believed that natural selection was insufficient, and they sought to influence human evolution by weeding out undesirables.”

Of course, the biological expression of this ideology is only one aspect of the violence the government sees itself entitled to commit against families.  Its imposition of transgender ideology on families, as we have recently seen legislated in Ontario in Bill 89, is another.

The Canadian practice of ‘weeding out undesirables’, Canada’s version of the U.S.’s ‘deplorables’, is so deeply entrenched as a reflection of good government and sound ethics in the minds of its elites that it happens without question.

The Star’s article makes the issue out to be one about informed ‘consent’.  The deep inhumanity of progressivist tenets against humanity is the buried headline.
