Astonishing 50 kids a week referred to sex change clinics

The buried headline in all the news related to gender identity is that the capitulation of the medical establishment to activist social pressure has led to a growing contagion of harm towards children.

The loss of public-mindedness, and the rise of political partisanship is regularly lamented in the media.  There is no political centre.  No one concerns himself with the common good.

Nowhere is that loss of public-mindedness more evident though than in the professions in which robes of office are worn, signifying that those so invested maintain the public good: priests, ministers of state, judges, doctors, professors.

The revolt of the elites against the common good, which has been going on in universities for a generation, has moved on from destroying the unborn to defacing the personhood of the most vulnerable.
