Skirts for boys at private Highgate School under plans for gender-neutral uniform

For many decades, clothing that differentiates the two sexes has been replaced by unisex clothing.  The uniform that was appropriate for males has also been worn as an option for females.

It was a symbol of first-wave feminism, the inclusion of women into the workplace.

This new uniformity, on the other hand, symbolizes a different ideology: that the specious intellectual category of ‘gender’ can allow boys to identify in their persons as girls.
