Wind energy plant hits financial headwinds, closes. Can Wynne win without wind?
340 jobs axed at Siemens wind turbine plant in Tillsonburg
The Ontario Liberal government has been a decade-long experiment in unreality.
From its social engineering of the family and its experimental ‘sex ed’ curriculum, to its fanciful green energy programme, this government has focussed on issues that would have been unknown to previous generations.
That it has done so despite scandal piled upon scandal is a sad commentary on the state of Ontario’s provincial politics.
Green energy is, however, the most financially expensive of all the government’s policies. The Ontario Liberals have poured billions of dollars into energy technologies that cannot succeed with the support of all the king’s horse and all the king’s men. And the costs will only rise for future generations.
Behind all the madness is the posthumanist worldview that underlies every aspect of its governance, altering politics to fit an ideological template in which human nature is less important than the machinations of ideologues.
The inflationary pressures of living in unreality can only be held back for so long.
For all the hot air that can be generated on the government’s behalf, the question that remains is whether Wynne can win the election without wind?
