Child abuse documentary Hollywood ‘didn’t want you to see’ goes viral

I reported on the film An Open Secret 3 weeks ago.  The allegations of pedophilia have been rampant since then, including Kevin Spacey.

The gay community is closing ranks against Spacey for trying to put a positive spin on the episode by ‘coming out’ and distracting attention from the pedophilia.  The Guardian reports however that ‘male actors say abuse against boys and young men is ‘taboo’ but ‘pervasive.’’

The reports are now hitting the mainstream media.

The interest in An Open Secret marks a big change from the time of its 2015 release.  ‘“We got zero Hollywood offers to distribute the film. Not even one. Literally no offers for any price whatsoever,” said Gabe Hoffman, a Florida-based hedge fund manager who financed the film.

‘Hoffman said he had intended to end the free online viewings of An Open Secret on Tuesday, but extended the window until Sunday because of public interest, with more than 3 million viewings on various social media platforms since 12 October.’
